I remember the days of stacking baking sheets and cutting boards on top of one another in a low cabinet. You were talented if you could snag one from the center of the pile while balancing the ones below and not toppling the ones above. Who ever divided the cabinet vertically, whether by pegs or custom built cabinetry, was genius and knew what it meant to maximize vertical space. The nifty cabinets are pretty common these days but if you find yourself without one there are some creative DIY ideas below.
