happy campers

A couple of weeks ago, Joe and I went camping with some great friends in beautiful Utopia, Texas.  It was so relaxing just simply being outside for two days soaking up the sun.  We roasted marshmallows, watched the fire flies and even caught a glimpse of a meteor shower (well Molly did).  It was an awesome way to celebrate Earth Day weekend!

For a weekend of relaxing, there was a lot of time and effort that went into planning!  We talked for a weeks leading up to our trip and simplified by dividing meals among couples and communicating things like radios, shampoo, tubes, etc. so we didn't waste packing space or end up with unnecessary duplicates.

Now, I love making lists.  They are such an easy way for me to wrap my mind around the big picture and create a concrete, step by step process for getting things done. I make a new list for every day, every shopping trip, and every event.  So it's no surprise that I made a long list for this camping trip.  From now on, I plan on posting my lists to the blog and hopefully you can reference them for your own events!
