oh baby!

Joe and I are having a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so excited and I get all gushy just thinking and talking about it.  I can't wait to see what a little person, half joe and half me, is like!  It's so weird and yet such a miracle!

We found out at the beginning of January and Joe pretty much told me I was pregnant just based off my symptoms; I was smelling things he couldn't.  This change in my smelling senses has been the source of all nausea...but snacking 24/7 seems to do the trick.

I am 12 weeks now and carrying around a full .5oz.  The baby is about 2.5 inches long and has fingers, toes, reflexes, can hear, can open their mouth, and is developing more and more each day.

Our first sonogram at 10 weeks was probably the coolest thing EVER!  As soon as the doctor put the "thingy" on my belly, BOOM, there was the little baby just lounging.  It is so weird that their is a baby growing in there and I can't even feel it.

My belly has grown, maybe just a little, and I think I'm the only one who can tell, although I show Joe every night.

While I'm looking forward to feeling more like myself, "chirpy" as Joe calls it, I know all the discomfort is worth it.  Until then, chocolate milk and potatoes will get me through!
